Reflection #1
All of our articles relate to our universal theme exploration because they all talk about how exploring space can lead us to new finding of resources and planets. One of our articles called “Finding another planet” relates to confronting the unknown because we are finding planets that we don't know much about.Another article that we found was “Could the untold riches in asteroids and other planets be the key to exploring the wider Universe?” it relates to exploration because they might be able to find new resources from which we could make new things from. This shows the generalization may result in new findings or the confirmation of old findings. From this we learned that in order for us to be able to to all these things we have to fund it with millions of dollars. We also learned that some people think that space funding should not continue because it has no contribution to society. We have not decide to change our topic, but we might because we are not sure if it's good enough. In our next step we hope to find articles that go against researching space
Reflection #2
Our topic slightly changed but mainly stayed in the same path.We figured that instead of doing finding of space that we should do it on what people think of traveling space. Some people think exploring space and putting lots of resources in it is good, but others believe we can something else with the money we spend on exploring space. For our student-led research we decided to do a survey on what people think we should do with the space program. We made it so that it would be on how much you agree and disagree with some statements. This type of survey is called a Likert Chart and it is good for our research because it shows how much people agree with the idea of having a pace program or not. Some things that have been hard has been finishing the survey. It was difficult because we had to incorporate everything or most of the information of space travel into one small quick survey. The easy part of our project was finding articles and getting our SLR distributed to people so they can take our survey. We need to finish our ISD and get it approved so we can start our poster and finish on time.We have done everything right so far but we our now starting to struggle with our ISD and board planning.
Reflection #3
I learned that it has contributed a lot to the advancement of humanity.I learned that ear thermometers were made because nasa was trying to measure the heat of stars and planets.I learned that work extremely good with other people that are my friends. It thought that I would not be able to work good with my friends but as we progressed I noticed I worked good with my friends. Our team really focused on trying to make space look interesting and beautiful. We painted everything on the board and it looked good. For our creative peace we decide to make a little game.We would ask questions like,”what came from trying to grow plants in space” and they would have to match it up with what they think was made because of that.In order for us to get this done we will need to paint over a 12 by 12 inch painting board and put pictures of the advancements NASA help make.We will also need laminate them to make them sturdy.Everything is working well and we are on time to finish everything.
